About

Historia y Misión

At our farm we focus on creating places where people will experience biodiversity firsthand and bring abundance into our landscapes by promoting a large diversity of delicious fruits.

The fruit forest and edible nursery bring together more than 300 species, including ancestral and little-known fruits that have been forgotten or excluded from standardized food systems.

Each fruit carries all its past relationships with particular landscapes, communities, stories, and the ways of knowing that sustained its life until today.

Each seed carries the imagination and memory of the people who cared and the relationships that endured.

It is a mission to preserve and share these treasures and bring them into the future.

By cultivating biological diversity, we also create places where different skills, experiences, and ways of understanding can meet one another

Between Worlds

Between worlds

Some of the richest biodiversity emerges where different ecosystems meet.

We bring fruit cultivation into conversation with forest restoration, art with agriculture, and individual livelihoods with collective possibility.

I believe there are ways plants allow new relationships and possibilities to emerge and teach us in ways that another person cannot. Nobody can force another human being to change. Working with plants has opened doors for education and healing in my life

Regeneration is happening through people growing, protecting biodiversity, caring for the places they inhabit and remembering that a life built entirely around consumption is not the only life available to us.

Regeneración

forests hold water, protect soil and provide habitat all while feeding humans and animals. biological diversity creates resilience and beautiful possibilities that monocultures cannot.

Working with nature we see that transformation is possible. Biodiversity is not just a number of species but also the abundance of relationships between them and the ways in which these relationships change what becomes possible.

Today, we are losing these connections at the same time that we are losing biodiversity. Knowledge held by communities can vanish within a generation. Fruits disappear from cultivation. Forests capable of feeding human beings, animals and entire ecosystems are being replaced by landscapes that hold less and less life.

The problems facing the world can feel enormous. One answer is found in something small enough to hold in your hand. A seed can preserve something that might otherwise disappear and may outlive the person who planted it

Our bodies have been formed across generations by plants, foods, climates, microorganisms, and environmental change.

They carry traces of a multitude of migrations, organisms, relationships, and nourishment which extends far beyond one lifetime.

They have been shaped by vanished landscapes and will continue to be reshaped by the conditions into which we are moving.

Each being is a meeting place between inheritance and possibility, memory and adaptation through the human and the more-than-human world
